A site URL is submitted. The workflow begins with an inbound form trigger that captures the website you want to audit. One input. That’s it.

A clean audit sheet is created. n8n creates a new Google Sheet and inserts headers like URL, crawled page, and website content, so you don’t start with a blank document (or a messy copy of an old template).

Dumpling AI crawls, then the workflow keeps only blog pages. The crawl finds internal URLs, and a filtering step narrows that list down to common blog patterns such as /blog/ or /articles/. If your site uses something else, you can adjust the patterns.

Step-by-Step Implementation Guide

Step 1: Configure the Form Trigger

Set up the inbound form that starts the workflow and captures the client URL used across all downstream steps.

  1. Add the Inbound Form Trigger node.
  2. Set Form Title to blog content strategy.
  3. Under Form Fields, add a field with Field Label set to Client URL and enable Required Field.

Step 2: Connect Google Sheets

Create a dedicated spreadsheet for each audit and prepare it for header writing and row appends.

  1. Add the Generate Audit Spreadsheet node and set Resource to spreadsheet.
  2. Set Title to the expression ={{ $json["Client URL"].trim().split(/›|>|»/)[0].trim().split(".")[0] }}.
  3. In Sheets UI, set the sheet title to Blog content audit.

  2. Add the Structure Header Array node and keep the provided code that builds data from $json.rows.
  3. Connect Assign Sheet ColumnsStructure Header ArrayWrite Headers to Sheet.

  5. Set Method to PUT and enable Send Body and Send Query.

Keep the Derive Blog Links code as-is to ensure URLs are deduplicated and filtered by blog-specific patterns.

Map the scraped results into a row payload and append the data into the generated spreadsheet.

Final Step: Test and Activate Your Workflow

Validate the end-to-end execution and enable the workflow for live use.

  1. Click Execute Workflow and submit a test value in Inbound Form Trigger for Client URL.
  2. Confirm a new spreadsheet is created by Generate Audit Spreadsheet and headers are written by Write Headers to Sheet.
