Next, it requests video clips through HTTP calls, waits for rendering, and pulls the finished clip URLs back into the workflow. In parallel, it generates sound effects and audio, waits again, then fetches the audio result. After that, it stitches clips and audio into a final video using Fal AI’s ffmpeg API, stores the final URL in Google Sheets, and hands the media off to Blotato for distribution across your connected social accounts.

How It Works

A schedule triggers new content. The workflow starts with the Scheduled Content Kickoff node, so you decide when new shorts get generated (daily, weekdays, or campaign-based).

An idea becomes structured scenes. OpenAI + LangChain generates a creative concept, then a second pass builds a structured prompt set. A parser and a small code step extract scene descriptions so the next tools receive clean inputs.

Clips and audio get created and assembled. HTTP requests send your scenes to the video tools, then Wait nodes give the render time to finish. Once URLs come back, the workflow collects them and calls Fal AI to stitch clips and sound into one final video.

Everything is logged, then published. Google Sheets gets the idea and final video URL, then Blotato uploads the media and publishes to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and any other enabled channels. Results merge into a single status update so you can see what actually went live.

Step-by-Step Implementation Guide

Step 1: Configure the Schedule Trigger

Set the workflow to start on a recurring schedule so the content pipeline runs automatically.

  1. Open Scheduled Content Kickoff and confirm it is the trigger node.
  2. In Scheduled Content Kickoff, set your desired schedule under Rule (the node is currently configured with an interval rule).
  3. Connect Scheduled Content Kickoff to Generate Creative Concept.

If you need immediate testing without waiting for the schedule, use Execute Workflow later in the testing step.

Step 2: Connect Google Sheets

Log ideas and final URLs to your spreadsheet so the workflow can track production status.

  1. Open Log Idea to Sheets and set your spreadsheet under Document and Sheet (both are currently set to = placeholders).
  2. Keep Operation set to append and confirm the column mappings use expressions like {{ $json.output[0].Idea }}, {{ $json.output[0].Caption }}, and {{ $json.output[0].Environment }}.
  3. Credential Required: Connect your googleSheetsOAuth2Api credentials in Log Idea to Sheets.
  4. Open Store Final Video URL, keep Operation set to update, and confirm the mapping uses {{ $('Log Idea to Sheets').first().json.idea }} and {{ $json.video_url }}.

  6. Open Update Status to Published, keep Operation set to appendOrUpdate, and confirm it updates {{ $('Log Idea to Sheets').first().json.idea }} with Publish.

  1. Open Generate Creative Concept and review the Text prompt to ensure it matches your creative constraints.
  2. Confirm Generate Creative Concept has hasOutputParser enabled and is connected to Parse Concept Output.
  3. Open Parse Concept Output and keep the JSON Schema Example as-is to enforce fields like Idea, Caption, Environment, Sound, and Status.
  4. Ensure Tool: Add Creative Angle is connected as a tool to Generate Creative Concept for refinement.
  5. Open LLM: Generate Base Idea and verify the Model is set to gpt-5-mini.
  6. Credential Required: Connect your openAiApi credentials in LLM: Generate Base Idea. This model is attached to Generate Creative Concept.

AI tool nodes like Tool: Add Creative Angle and parsers like Parse Concept Output inherit credentials from their parent. Add credentials to the parent model node, not the tool or parser.

Step 4: Set Up Prompt Expansion and Scene Extraction

Expand the base idea into detailed multi-scene prompts and extract each scene for clip generation.

  1. Open Build Detailed Prompts and verify the Text is set to =Give me 3 video prompts based on the previous idea.
  2. Confirm Build Detailed Prompts uses the input expressions {{ $json.idea }}, {{ $json.environment_prompt }}, and {{ $json.sound_prompt }} in its system message.
  3. Ensure Tool: Refine Prompt Set and Parse Prompt Structure are connected to Build Detailed Prompts.
  4. Open LLM: Draft Prompt Details and confirm the Model is set to gpt-4.1.
  5. Credential Required: Connect your openAiApi credentials in LLM: Draft Prompt Details. This model is attached to Build Detailed Prompts.
  6. Open Extract Scene Descriptions and keep the JavaScript code as provided to map scene entries into { description } items.

⚠️ Common Pitfall: If Parse Prompt Structure returns scene keys in a different format (e.g., “Scene One”), Extract Scene Descriptions will not find them.

Step 5: Configure Video and Audio Generation (HTTP Requests + Waits)

Generate clips, audio, and a merged video using the external APIs, with wait nodes to allow rendering time.

  1. Open Request Video Clips and set URL to https://api.wavespeed.ai/api/v3/bytedance/seedance-v1-pro-t2v-480p, and keep Method as POST.
  2. In Request Video Clips, keep JSON Body set to the expression that uses {{ $('Build Detailed Prompts').item.json.output.Idea }}, {{ $json.description }}, and {{ $('Build Detailed Prompts').item.json.output.Environment }}.
  3. Credential Required: Connect your httpHeaderAuth credentials in Request Video Clips.
  4. Open Delay for Clip Rendering and keep Unit as minutes and Amount as 4.
  5. Open Fetch Video Clips and set URL to =https://api.wavespeed.ai/api/v3/predictions/{{ $json.data.id }}/result.
  6. Credential Required: Connect your httpHeaderAuth credentials in Fetch Video Clips.
  7. Open Create ASMR Audio, keep URL as https://queue.fal.run/fal-ai/mmaudio-v2 , and ensure JSON Body includes {{ $('Build Detailed Prompts').item.json.output.Sound }} and {{ $json.data.outputs[0] }}.
  8. Credential Required: Connect your httpHeaderAuth credentials in Create ASMR Audio and Fetch Audio Result.
  9. Open Delay for Audio Render and keep Amount at 4 minutes.
  10. Open Collect Clip URLs and keep the code that aggregates items.map(item => item.json.video.url).
  11. Open Compose Final Video and keep the Body keyframes using {{ $json.video_urls[0] }}, {{ $json.video_urls[1] }}, and {{ $json.video_urls[2] }}.

  13. Open Delay for Video Render and keep Amount at 4 minutes.

All six HTTP nodes share the same authentication type. Ensure your httpHeaderAuth header matches the API requirements for both Wavespeed and Fal.

Step 6: Configure Media Upload and Parallel Social Publishing

Upload the final video and publish to multiple social platforms in parallel.

  1. Open Upload Media to Blotato and set Media URL to {{ $json.final_output }}.
  2. Credential Required: Connect your blotatoApi credentials in Upload Media to Blotato.
  3. Confirm Upload Media to Blotato outputs to all post nodes in parallel: Post to TikTok, Post to LinkedIn, Post to Facebook, Post to Instagram, Post to Twitter, Post to YouTube, Post to Threads, Post to Bluesky, and Post to Pinterest.
  4. For each Post to... node, confirm Post Content Text is {{ $('Log Idea to Sheets').first().json.caption }} and Post Content Media URLs is {{ $json.url }}.
  5. In Post to YouTube, verify Title uses {{ $('Log Idea to Sheets').first().json.idea }} and Privacy Status is private.
  6. Credential Required: Connect your blotatoApi credentials to all Blotato posting nodes (10 nodes handle media upload and social distribution).

⚠️ Common Pitfall: Replace all [YOUR_ID] placeholders in the Blotato post nodes with actual account, page, or board IDs to avoid publishing failures.

Step 7: Merge Publishing Results and Update Status

Combine responses from each platform and update the spreadsheet status to confirm publishing.

  1. Open Combine Publish Results and confirm Mode is chooseBranch with Number Inputs set to 9.
  2. Ensure each Post to... node connects to Combine Publish Results.
  3. Connect Combine Publish Results to Update Status to Published so the sheet is updated after publishing completes.

Step 8: Test and Activate Your Workflow

Run a full test to confirm all services, prompts, and publishing actions work as expected.

  1. Click Execute Workflow to run the workflow from Scheduled Content Kickoff and watch each node execute in sequence.
  2. Verify a new row is appended in Log Idea to Sheets with the idea, caption, environment, sound prompt, and status.
  3. Confirm the rendering pipeline completes: clip URLs collected in Collect Clip URLs, final composition requested in Compose Final Video, and video URL stored in Store Final Video URL.
  4. Check that Upload Media to Blotato runs and all social posting nodes execute in parallel.
  5. Ensure Update Status to Published writes Publish in the sheet for the corresponding idea.
  6. When satisfied, toggle the workflow to Active to enable scheduled production.

Common Gotchas

  • Google Sheets credentials can expire or lack edit access to the target spreadsheet. If logging fails, check the n8n credential connection and the sheet sharing permissions first.
