Step 1: Configure the Chat Trigger

Set up the chat-based trigger that starts the workflow.

  1. Add the Chat Session Trigger node to your canvas if it is not already present.
  2. Open Chat Session Trigger and confirm it is ready to accept chat sessions (default settings are sufficient for this workflow).
  3. Connect Chat Session Trigger to Intelligent Agent Core as shown in the workflow.

Step 2: Set Up the AI Agent Core

Configure the AI agent that will respond to chat input and orchestrate tools and memory.

  1. Select the Intelligent Agent Core node and verify it is connected to the trigger.
  2. Ensure OpenAI Chat Engine is connected to Intelligent Agent Core via the AI language model input.
  3. Add credentials to OpenAI Chat Engine so the agent can generate responses.

Step 3: Attach Memory and Tools

Provide context retention and database lookup capabilities to the agent.

  1. Connect Chat Memory Buffer to Intelligent Agent Core through the AI memory input.
  2. Connect MongoDB Lookup Tool to Intelligent Agent Core through the AI tool input.
  3. Configure the MongoDB connection in MongoDB Lookup Tool so it can query your database.

Step 4: Test and Activate Your Workflow

Validate the chat interaction and then activate the workflow for production use.

  2. Confirm that Intelligent Agent Core returns a response and that MongoDB Lookup Tool is invoked when needed.
